Change is in the Air!

This calendar year has seen many changes for me both personally and professionally. Some of the really big things I have been hit with have been at the same time. Some people would refer to this as a run of bad luck. Others might call is coincidences while some might call it Karma as life has a way of balancing out. I have always looked forward to change as it truly is an opportunity to make things better. The bigger the change the bigger the opportunity.

Two of the really big professional changes involving Profit Team Consulting concern people. Bill Stevens was presented a fantastic opportunity to become CEO of a multisite operation that he has decided to pursue. I certainly wish Bill the best of luck as his new endeavor plays out. Having a sharp operator can be intimidating if they are in your market but history shows that an increase in the number of well-run facilities will give us greater legitimacy and opportunity as an industry. High tide raises all boats as they say.

Profit Team Consulting will miss Bill but feel extremely lucky to be adding Lee Worman to the company. Lee will be bringing a wealth of knowledge to our team. He is bringing a new set of eyes with a corporate slant to them which is sure to challenge some of the things we currently think are the correct way to do things.

As I mentioned earlier change is a great opportunity to work on making things better. I would like to think that the last few months have given me that chance to make improvements both personally and professionally. I am really excited about what the future holds for me and Profit Team Consulting.

How does this apply to you is a good question. Jim Counts often says the change occurs when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of the change. This is a true statement on many levels. Often times change occurs when you merely ask for help. PTC is working on a new plan that has us working much closer with you on implementation of things. We understand that telling someone how to fix a problem is sometimes not enough but we need to help you actually implement the fix.

These are exciting times in the salvage industry. We have a lot of things going on and the opportunity to make a lot of money is here. We need to embrace change and understand the fantastic opportunity that change creates for improvement.

Please do not hesitate to reach out and ask for help and listen to what people are doing to see what you can incorporate into your facility to help make things better. Profit Team Consulting is here to help you on whatever level you need help at. We are the people who have spent our lives doing what you do with a high level of success. Please let me know if you would like more information about Lee and what we can do to help you embrace change.
