A Strong First Impression
I’ve always been someone who works hard at making a great first impression. Do I look professional? Did I bring everything to this event I need to have? Am I prepared to meet the right people? Those are just a few of the many questions that run through my head while I make sure I get that first meeting right. When I’m meeting with any of our clients, or talking with them on the phone, I want to be as ready for their questions as possible. Not only does that allow them to take me more seriously as their point of contact for advertising, but it also lets them get more comfortable with me as a person. It helps break down one more barrier that would otherwise prevent us from having a productive conversation.
So, why am I saying all this? Because I’m getting prepared to meet many of YOU at the 75th annual Automotive Recyclers Conference coming up here in Orlando, Florida from October 31 to November 3. This will be my very first conference, and also my very first trip to Florida. Two great things in one big trip! There will be plenty of time for me to walk around and say hello, and make sure you have my business card and the latest issue of Power Source. We have to at least give you some great reading material for the flight home, and show you what advertising with us can produce.
I hope to see as many of you there as possible. It should be an exciting time!
