Maximizing Bounty for Full Service Recyclers

Our Technology Department here at RAS deserves a lot of credit for the success of the Recall Program. Kudos to Dave, Don, Tom, Deb, and Michael for all that they do. You don’t see their faces at the trade shows, but their knowledge and expertise are visible in all of our desktop and mobile Recall Software Solutions.

I believe the role of our Recall Team is to not only provide training and logistical support to our clients, but a consultative approach to “which” software solution is best for your operation. We all know that two things are constant; vehicles come in, and vehicles leave; what happens in between can be very different. This month we want to focus on our Full Service Recyclers. These recyclers primarily buy vehicles that will be inventoried and at some point dismantled. The goal is to utilize the RAS Software within your existing process.

There are two primary actions that must be done systematically for every vehicle. First, identify the vehicle as having recalls and then dismantle the recalled airbags to be packaged and sent to RAS. On the inventory part, we recommend that every vehicle be identified as close to its arrival as possible. We have identified three scenarios from our field work and how the airbag program can be integrated into YOUR PROCESS.

New Feature “Recall Cart”
We just started to roll-out a new feature that will eliminate the “Guest” Log in on our website. The “Recall Cart” allows Recyclers who only do airbags with RAS to streamline their airbag process from dismantling to invoicing and shipping. Feel free to call your field rep, account manager, recall specialist, or me to find out more.

One thing is for sure; everything keeps changing, and RAS is continually trying to improve the tools we have and introduce new tools when it allows recyclers to #yankthatbag with the most streamlined process possible.
